Greetings to all those gathered for the performances of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular, especially to New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) for its sponsorship of this evening's presentation of internationally acclaimed Chinese performing artists.

The mission of NTDTV to provide current and accurate world news information in Mandarin and Cantonese to the overseas Chinese community is an essential and welcomed media service. NTDTV is viewed by those of the Chinese diaspora who wish to stay connected with their homeland, and serves as a source of altemative reporting of events happening in China and within the worldwide Chinese community.

I applaud NTDTV for sharing this cultural extravaganza with all of us. This ensemble, based in New York City, gives us an occasion to enjoy the creative skills of world-class artists of Chinese ancestry. It is an opportunity for the Chinese American community to proudly share its cultural heritage, and preserve the legacy of China for the next generation raised in America.
